Why do I have to complete multi-factor authorisation every time I log into the SportSmart app?
If you're set as an organisation or medical administrator role at your organisation, you will have noticed that you need to complete a multifactor authentication (MFA) every time you open the app. This is achieved by a four digit code that arrives via text message to your mobile. We understand this can be repetitive, and at times inconvenient, especially if your phone locks part way through an injury report (e.g. because you're talking to the player as you complete the form). The reason we do this is for security reasons. As an administrator, you have access to confidential information relating to player, and parent/guardian contact information.
Coaches and medical users only have to complete MFA the first time they register an account. This was designed to allow users to quickly access the app, preventing situations where bad signal might cause a delay in MFA codes arriving.
Tip: It is recommended that you limit the amount of administrators in your organisation to only those who need to import player information, invite other coaches, or send MySportSmart invitations.
