What actions do you need to take?
There are no direct actions you need to take, but there are few points to consider:
-
Once the SportSmart and MySportSmart apps are closed, you will no longer have access to injury and concussion data stored in the app. If you would like us to securely send historic injury and concussion data to you, please email info@sportsmart.org to request this from us by the 20 July 2026.
-
We will also be contacting all MySportSmart users in the week affiliated with your organsiation commencing 15th June to advise them that the SportSmart and MySportSmart apps are no longer going to be available.
- There may be other colleagues and staff members you need to update as part of your internal processes. We will only be contacting those who have an account set up on SportSmart and MySportSmart.
As an organisation, we remain focused on creating a world with more sport and less injury – and preventing injury and concussion in youth and grassroots sport. We hope this is something that you will continue to champion in your organisation.
Unfortunately, there is not currently one alternative app that includes the concussion and injury management tools housed in SportSmart and MySportSmart. There are, however, some paid-for alternatives that could be explored to support your organisation's ongoing injury management.
What is the most important thing to do now?
-
Please let us know if you want tot be securely sent your organisation's historic injury and concussion data by Monday 20 July.
- Please consider alternative solutions that can be used to log, monitor and manage injuries and concussions within your organisation.
