My player still has symptoms of a concussion but has been able to progress to the next stage. Is that ok?

A player can still progress through the initial stages of the graduated return to activity and sport process while they still have symptoms. As long as their symptoms are not getting worse they should continue following the guidance.

If a player's symptoms get worse, or if they still have symptoms after 28 days, please make sure they seek medical advice.

Monitoring a player's symptoms is an important part of managing their return to sport. At each stage the system will check to see if the symptoms have subsided or worsened.

Players should only return to full contact training once they have been symptom free for 14 days, the tool will log when a player no longer reports symptoms and will only allow them to move forward to stage 5 and full contact training once the 14 days have elapsed.

You can find the full guidance in the concussion recovery tool, just simply tap the 'Full Guidance' and you will be able to see more about the stage they are at and explore the remainder of the stages.
